Human Rights Advising & Supports

  • Queen’s Human Rights Advisory Services - Human Rights Advisory Services provides advice to Queen’s community members concerning human rights issues arising at Queen’s and advocates for human rights practices and policies that respond to the needs of Queen’s equity-seeking communities.
     
  • Harassment and Discrimination: Learn more about the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Harassment and Discrimination Policy and its Complaint and Reporting Procedures, and discover what to do if you wish to make a complaint or report being a witness to, or becoming aware of, discrimination, harassment, or reprisal.
     
  • IN-SIGHT is an anonymous harassment, discrimination, or bias/hate incident submission form which allows members of the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ community to submit incidents of harassment, discrimination, hate, and violence targeting personal characteristics protected under the Ontario Human Rights Code (e.g., race, religion, sexual orientation, disability) which have been experienced or witnessed.

Mental Health Supports

Peer Supports

  •  - The PSC provides all AMS undergraduate students with confidential, non-judgmental, empathetic, peer-based support, including resource referrals and assistance.

Sexual Violence Prevention and Response

Queen’s University is committed to providing non-judgmental sexual violence support and response.

Supports for BIPoC Students

  • ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Student Wellness Services; Counsellors who work specifically with Black-identified, LGBT2SQ+, Indigenous, marginalized/racialized students are available.
  • Yellow House - Yellow House is a safe, comfortable and accountable space for queer, racialized and marginalized students to create community, to feel empowered, to empower others, to celebrate and to honour their histories. We seek to engage students in initiatives that actively dismantle oppressive, racist and colonial ideologies and practices.
  • Community Care - resources that support wellbeing and community building opportunities for BIPoC students in the face of racism and bigotry
  •  - providing peer-to-peer support for self-identified BIPOC students on-campus 
  • Four Directions Indigenous Student Centre - for general support, or to book an appointment with the Cultural Counsellor at Four Directions, email 4direct@queensu.ca
