Description:
You can be more effective in conflict situations by understanding the role of conflict in interpersonal relations and by learning strategies to handle challenging behaviours and situations. This interactive workshop will help participants understand some basic elements of conflict - how to define it and different types of conflict, some myths around it and even some of the benefits of it; they will examine their own personal conflict styles, look at ways of managing conflict assertively, and reaching some resolution in challenging situations.
Learning Outcomes:
- Describe the components of communication as they apply to conflict resolution
- Develop an awareness of your own conflict management style
- Recognize the role that perception and re-framing play in managing conflict
- Practice strategies and techniques to deal with conflict
- Prepare an action plan to incorporate new learnings
