Pollinators & People: Building a Garden for Bees & Wellbeing (Thrive 365)

Session Overview: Step into the garden and discover the connection between pollinators and people. In this hands-on session, you'll learn how creating a bee-friendly garden not only supports vital ecosystems but also boosts your own mental wellbeing.
Each participant will:
- Plant a small pollinator-friendly container garden to take home
- Explore how nurturing life, big or small, can nurture your own
- Connect with others through shared learning and gardening joy
All materials provided: pots, soil, and a selection of bee-loving seeds.
We welcome your stories and wisdom! This is a collaborative space where everyone has something to contribute. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned grower, you're invited to grow with us.
Location: The New Garden Beds behind Nicol Hall
Light Refreshments will be provided.

It is an initiative at Ҵý that aims to help in fostering the wellbeing of students, faculty, and staff through gardens and gardening. Based on her previous research and decades of experience creating and savouring gardens, Dr. Maha Al Makhamreh founded this initiative and successfully implemented it in the spring of 2024.
