Euglycemic DKA

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

1. Outline precipitants and diagnostic features of euglycemic DKA
2. Describe management of euglycemic DKA
3. Outline strategies to reduce the risk of euglycemic DKA with SGLT2 inhibitors including conditions for initiation and holding in the acute care setting; as well as education on sick day management.

High Flow Oxygen / Transcutaneous Pacing

1. Assess when to use or not use high flow oxygen
2. Identify how to adjust high flow oxygen administration and make adjustments with new information

Transcutaneous Pacing:

1. Identify the key factors in transcutaneous pacing
2. Evaluate whether to use transcutaneous pacing or not in a given situation
3. Discuss helpful tricks to sedation using transcutaneous pacing
