Description:
Are you a research technician, lab manager, research assistant or research associate at Queen’s? We are offering a professional development course to empower you with skills to help create and foster a positive lab environment, better manage the day-to-day operations of your lab, and understand how to best interact with central University research systems. All are welcome, but this course is aimed at research staff that: are new to Queen’s, are new to lab research, are expanding their roles, want to identify their knowledge gaps or are managing several labs.
Learning Outcomes:
In this course you will:
- Improve communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Gain tools to establishing and maintain a positive lab culture and training environment.
- Learn good data management practices.
- Understand how to work with central research systems at Queen’s.
