This course will investigate different ways of asking and answering the question of life’s ‘meaning’. Topics for discussion will include what makes a person’s life go well, whether life has a ‘purpose’, the implications of death and immortality, meaning and the absurd, and more, drawing on diverse readings from contemporary and historical thinkers.
