Queen’s researchers, labs, and departments are invited to for Science Rendezvous Kingston 2026, happening Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Slush Puppie Place. This free annual celebration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) draws thousands of visitors from across the region for a day packed with discovery, creativity, and fun. 

Launched nationally in 2008, Science Rendezvous has become Canada’s largest public science outreach festival. The Kingston edition, hosted by Queen’s, began in 2011 and has since grown into one of the most successful in the country, thanks to the enthusiastic participation of the university’s researchers and students. Last year’s event featured more than 60 interactive booths and stage shows, bringing science to life for families of all ages.  

This is an opportunity to showcase research in a hands-on, engaging way while inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators. From fascinating demonstrations to kid-friendly activities, your booth or activity can spark curiosity and excitement that lasts well beyond the day.

Applicants are reminded that the event is family focused. While there is no fee for a booth, it is the responsibility of the booth coordinator to ensure that there are sufficient materials and volunteers for the full day of activities. 

Successful applicants will be advised of their place in the program in January 2026.
