Every year, Queen’s Student Affairs celebrates extraordinary contributions made by student leaders, on and off campus. Faculty, staff, and students are invited to nominate Queen’s students or student groups for three annual awards that recognize leadership and impact:

The Indigenization, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility and Anti-Racism (I–EDIAA) Impact Award recognizes students who have shown their commitment to the principles of Indigenization, equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility and anti-racism.  Recipients will demonstrate contributions to furthering an understanding of the interplay and intersections among different identities on campus, and their work will show that diversity strengthens the Queen’s community.

The Brian Yealland Community Leadership Award honours students who make a significant contribution to society by working with and encouraging youth who are experiencing social, behavioral, economic, or other challenges by helping them realize their worth as individuals and their potential to achieve.

The Peer Leadership Award celebrates students who have exemplified excellence in peer-to-peer assistance and outreach through their commitment, skill, dedication, and interest in helping others.

Nominations for all awards are due Sunday, February 8, 2026.
